Qué Rico is led and founded by Francesco. Raised by Uruguayan parents who both worked as chefs and bakers in professional kitchens, he has spent a lifetime immersed in food, traditional recipes, and culinary craftsmanship. He developed Qué Rico's signature flan recipe in 2022 from a family recipe passed down by his mamá, refining it over thousands of batches to achieve the consistency and flavour the brand is known for today. Blending authentic Latin American tradition with New Zealand quality, Francesco is dedicated to sharing one of the world's most iconic desserts with customers across Aotearoa.
